  Museum of
  Southern History

Step back in time at this
 impressive museum and library
 in Jacksonville.  With its emphasis
on the War Between the States, the privately-funded site is dedicated
 to preserving southern history.
It honors those who valiantly
fought in what is also called
the Civil War.

See realistic displays that depict
the soldier's life (above) and an impeccably accurate diorama of
the Battle of Olustee, Florida's largest civil war engagement
that occurred on Feb. 20 1864.

Visit the nearby military gallery
at Troops of Time.
