in the back-
ground the friendly staff at the
Shake Pit serves creamy ice
cream, an endless variety of
milk shakes and delicious old-
fashioned burgers. "It's like
magic", according to Debbie, the
way people and families "let
go and relax"while seated on
antique barstools at the cozy
inside counter. (below) "It's
quality time, life is not about
taking a number".
Seating is also provided in a
covered area outside.

(left) invites you to step off the
fast-food track for a delightful
taste of yesteryear.
Aside from the hand-prepared burgers
the menu offers grilled cheese sand-
wiches, hot dogs, corn dogs, and
cheese steaks. Other dairy items
include: floats, cones, malts and
banana splits. The milk shakes
are extra thick, but will be
thinned on request.
