and
Bait Shop was originally built in 1929 as a camp for Gulf fishermen. It overlooks
the clear, shimmering waters and sandy knolls of New Pass with dazzling views of Sarasota
Bay and New Pass Bridge.

The Bait Shop sells live and frozen bait
with tackle. Free tide tables are provided and contain other important information about
legal limits, barometer readings,
and the best time to fish. Fishing poles
may be rented and free instruction is provided! It makes fishing easy
and fun for you!

New Pass Grill and Bait Shop is located on
City Island in Sarasota, at the south end
of New Pass Bridge, near Mote Marine.

A local artist has restored the historic flavor that hearken back to its origins.
Nostalgic wall murals reflect the past, transforming
the site into a Public Art.

Open from 7 A.M.
until 6 P.M. the grill is famous for its "New Pass Burger" and was awarded
"Best Place For Bait and a Burger" by
Weekly Planet Magazine" Lunch items also include hot dogs, burritos, and cold cut
sand- wiches.Hot Breakfasts are
served in the morning with sausage, ham, eggs,
and biscuits.
