Constructed in 1952, the Yearling
retains its nostalgic allure of dark
pine furniture, paneling and brick
fireplace. Antiques, including an
enviable collection of Coca
Cola coolers exude the
charm of an earlier era.

dark ambiance of
the lounge.

Yearling
Restaurant

Hidden along a sleepy back road

beside the waters of Cross Creek
  awaits a delightful "Old Florida"
dining establishment.

The extensive menu includes:
Grilled Chicken Breast, Stuffed
Flounder, Deep Fried Clams,
and Prime Rib. More traditional
items: Venison, Quail, Cooter,
Froglegs, Alligator and Quail.

The Yearling is considered one
of the best restaurants in Florida
by Florida Trend Magazine. It is
named in honor of the Pulitzer-
winning book. The historic home
of author
Marjorie Rawlings, just
up the road, is open for tours.

The enchantment of Cross Creek
will cast a spell. You may choose
to spend the night in one of seven
restored cottages at the
Secret
River Lodge
found along the
Creek. Or, stay at the
Herlong
Mansion B&B
in nearby
Micanopy.
