Safety Harbor
Nestled on the west shore of
Old Tampa Bay is a sleepy
hamlet of ancient oaks
and swaying palms. Brick
lined streets and canopied
sidewalks lead to Main St.,
with its mix of captivating
shops, galleries and
restaurants.

The community has a historical
and archeological museum
located on an actual indian
shell mound. Oak-shaded
Phillippe Park is found on the
the site of a citrus plantation
established in the 1830's.
At the marina (below) there
is another park where sail
rigs jut against the sky
and bay waters gently
lap the shore.

Spend the night at the lovely
Ibis Bed & Breakfast, also
a Florida Secret. Or, spoil
yourself at the world-
famous spa.
