On April 1, 2008, we
plan to open another concession at the NEW Rainbow Springs State Park
Tube Facility, located on the East side of the Rainbow River at 10830 SW
108th Avenue Road, Dunnellon, Florida 34432. That tube rental operation
will be called Rainbow River Tubing, telephone 352.465.3045. We will be
renting River Tubes and Inflatable Boats. After this first year (April 1
through September 30), the annual tubing season will be from March 1 -
September 30, every year thereafter. Plans are in the works for something
during the off-season, every October 1 through February 28. It would be
great if you could visit and take photographs of this location. Since
this is in a State Park facility, all new marketing lingo will need to be
approved by Park Manager Joseph E. Smyth (352.465.8536).
2) Our main operation on
E. Pennsylvania Avenue (shown in the current photo), will be renting
canoes and kayaks (only) - as well as still providing shuttle, transport,
retail sales and services.
3) Our State Park
Headsprings concession at the canoe dock, should be referred to as "Canoe
and Kayak Rentals at the Headsprings", whenver necesssary.
4) Our State Park
Campground concession, for campers only, is currently closed, and will
re-open May 1, 2009, or whenever DEP completes the final stage of
construction and re-designing efforts.
